I stopped by Nikka Yoichi Distillery on my way back from Otaru to Niseko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from Sapporo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though I had just had lunch, I decided to stop by for a quick visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Do You Need a Reservation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The factory tour is free, but a reservation is required in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even without a reservation, you can still visit the shop and museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Souvenir Shop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The shop has a wide selection of whisky, apple wine, and unique souvenirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were also chocolates in small wooden barrels, which looked really nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn\u2019t plan to buy anything, but I couldn\u2019t resist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was not crowded because I visited on a weekday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it can get very busy on weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ended up buying two highball glasses and a bottle of whisky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were so many options that it was hard to choose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restaurant <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is also a restaurant inside the distillery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is usually very crowded on weekends, and there can be a long line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to try it, but I had just eaten lunch, so I skipped it this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even without joining the tour, it was definitely worth visiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next time, I would like to join the factory tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are visiting Yoichi, this is a great place to stop by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
