Best Crepes in Kutchan – Café Creperie Review

Rice flour crepe with fresh cream and strawberries in Kutchan Hokkaido Niseko

If you’re looking for one of the best desserts in Kutchan or near Niseko, Café Creperie is a must-visit spot.

This popular crepe shop is run by a rice farmer from Rankoshi, a region well known for producing high-quality rice in Hokkaido. As a result, they use rice flour for their crepes, making them naturally gluten-free with a crispy outside and chewy inside.

It’s Located just a 1-minute walk from Kutchan Station, the shop is literally right in front of the station, so it’s really easy to access.

What makes this place stand out is the quality of the ingredients. They use fresh cream instead of whipped cream, and it is made from Hokkaido milk. The custard is also homemade. The crepes are large and generously filled, but surprisingly light and not too heavy.

My personal recommendation is the Strawberry Double Cream Crepe. It’s perfectly balanced—light and not too sweet.

They also offer seasonal crepes and monthly special batters, so the menu never gets boring. If you’re not in the mood for something sweet, there are plenty of savory crepes that are filling enough for a full meal. The drink menu is also quite extensive.

You can enjoy your crepe inside the shop or take it to go. And if you manage to get one without waiting in line, consider yourself lucky—it’s that popular.
